I was passed the solicitors details from Jubilee Finance, and from start to finish Atkins Dellow has our best interests at heart. Even now the sale is complete , any questions they still answer.

Generally a none stressful process for the approx 12 weeks the sale and purchase took. 2nd time using and would recommend.
Ingrid is very knowledgeable and answered with a more simpler understanding of asked.

Seamless Purchase
Buying my first home and had no idea where to start. My parents recommended Atkins Dellow, Ingrid, and I am very happy I did.
The purchase had a few niggles, which Ingrid made sure were resolved, and the purchase was completed.

Expected better
Positives
1. Once everything was in place, moved to completion quickly and efficiently.
2. The sale and purchase of the houses happened
Negatives:
1. When we first asked them to deal with the sale and purchase of the properties, we heard nothing about the purchase for 2 months. We knew searches could take a while to come back & it was over Christmas, so we accepted a bit of a delay. When we spoke to them, it turned out that searches had never been started because the selling estate agent had never submitted a memorandum of sale. We therefore had to pull out of that purchase due a deadline & move for another house. I would have expected the solicitor to proactively tell us that much earlier, as we could have moved for another house sooner & saved money on the stamp duty tax rise.
2. Generally felt that we were often chasing them & they weren't keeping us informed
3. The solicitor misread part of the covenant of the house that we were purchasing & we had to go back to them and clarify this with them
4. Frustrated that they wouldn't accept eSignatures on documents and we had to post everything back to them

We note you were aware that the chain for your first purchase was incomplete and that this was unable to progress, and are pleased to note that once you had found a suitable property to purchase with a complete chain everything moved to completion quickly and efficiently. The query regarding the covenant you mention was actually interpretation of an entry on the Local Search which we clarified for you. At the present time we do not use electronic signatures for various reasons, but we have taken your comments on board and will look into this for the future.”
