Neil joined the Litigation Team in January 2018, having previously worked at a number of other Worcestershire and Gloucestershire based firms. He has over 10 years’ experience in law and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in June 2021. Neil specialises in Debt Recovery and regularly acts for clients in the recovery of unsecured debts. He can advise on every aspect of Debt Recovery, from Pre-Action communication with debtors through to issuing Court Proceedings, obtaining Judgments and the various enforcement methods available to creditors in both the County and High Courts. Alongside his Debt Recovery specialism, Neil regularly advises clients on a variety of personal and commercial disputes, ranging from Landlord/Tenant disputes, including recovery of rent arrears and Possession Proceedings, boundary disputes, breach of contract claims and Consumer Rights Act claims through to shareholder disputes, employment claims and insolvency action. Neil’s recent work includes: obtaining permission to register charges at Companies House outside of the statutory period under S859F of the Companies Act 2006. obtaining a judgment in favour of an SME arising out of a breach of contract claim. obtaining a Set Aside Judgment Order under Part 13 of the Civil Procedure Rules in favour of an SME. recovering numerous book debts due to insolvent companies. recovering monies owed to a lender under a loan agreement. recovering rent arrears due to residential landlords. obtaining possession of properties under S8/S21 of the Housing Act 1988. Defending injunctive proceedings brought against a former director of a company. Defending a money claim brought against a residential landlord. Supporting SMEs in pursuing former employees in respect of breach of restrictive covenants contained in their contracts of employment. Supporting an SME with a dilapidations claim.
