    My injury compensation journey

    After a traumatic and painful accident which required surgery I decided to contact Eastham solicitors to instigate the process of compensation against the holiday company which were the cause of my injury. The process was quite easy to set up as we had lots of photos and evidence. The holiday company admitted fault straight away . The following eighteen months certainly dragged whilst waiting for a year later to get another medical report and there was very little communication from the solicitor as to reaching a conclusion. I received an offer in March which I declined as I didn't think the trauma of the injury and resulting lack of mobility were reflected in the offer However after waiting over four more months I had received no further communication. In the end the stress of the wait caused me to decide to accept the original offer to put a line under the process .

We’re sorry to hear about the traumatic accident you suffered and appreciate that an eighteen-month claim can feel like a very long process, particularly when liability was admitted at an early stage. Even where responsibility for an accident is accepted, it can sometimes be necessary to allow sufficient time for an injury and recovery to develop before obtaining final medical evidence. This is important to ensure that the full extent of an injury and its longer-term effects can be properly assessed before compensation is valued. We do, however, appreciate your comments about the level of communication during that period. Clients should feel informed even when there is little substantive progress to report, and we will take your feedback on board. Thank you again for sharing your experience, and we wish you all the very best for your continued recovery.

    Professional, helpful and kept me updated throughout
