Nic deals with a broad range of employment law issues towards the contentious end of the spectrum. He regularly advises SME businesses and several larger household names. He advises on the exit of senior employees and directors, complex sickness absence issues and provides general advice on day to day employee relations. Nic also runs employee-related investigations, including fraud, discrimination, whistleblowing and grievances. He has a background in psychology and is trained in cognitive interviewing. He also trains internal investigators to conduct investigations taking into account the special risks caused by the employment relationship. Nic spent time seconded to the HR department of a global retail bank advising on employee relations matters. He joined Actons in 2012 after 8 years at the international law firm, Wragge & Co (now Gowling WLG). He has specialised in employment law since qualifying as a solicitor in 2006.

    Advice on Settlement Agreement for Director

    Nic came recommended to me by a family member who has worked with him previously. He offered excellent advice during my case, was highly knowledgeable, approachable and friendly whilst remaining professional throughout. Nic was also very transparent about fees and always advised if there was a way I could keep costs down without jeopardising the outcome of our agreement. Nic kept me regularly informed on his discussions with my employer and was honest around each stage of negotiation/ discussion.     Help with redundancy settlement agreement

    Nic was very helpful in guiding me through my redundancy settlement agreement. He diligently set up a meeting with me on my leaving date to talk me through how to complete the process, and was very prompt at sending through the required certificate.
