The Best in The Business

At the darkest and coldest point of the year my wife sustained life threatening injuries as the pedestrian victim to a 17-year-old driver whose car, which was travelling at 62 mph, began to spin out of control. Shattered bones, severed ligaments, wounds requiring over 150 stitches and staples, but the one injury with the greatest effect was my wife’s brain injury. Her subarachnoid brain haemorrhage was the most unpredictable and most difficult injury to treat, and the effect of her acquired brain injury still is her biggest challenge in life to this day. It was a few days after the crash that the police family liaison officer came to the Intensive Care Unit and asked to speak to me about the incident. At that point it occurred to me that we might need some legal advice, so I contacted a few trusted friends and asked if they knew anyone who could help us. Susan Todhunter of FBC Manby Bowlder in Wolverhampton was recommended to me as “The Best in The Business”. We soon met at the hospital and that is when our wonderful new solicitor began to change our lives for the better in ways that we could not imagine were even possible. Susan Todhunter was at the end of the phone 24 hours and day, 7 day a week, 52 weeks of the year. She empathetically guided us through complex processes of recovery, rehabilitation, specialist resources and selecting the best therapists and support. When I use the term ‘us’, I actually mean the whole family benefited from her help. The litigation case was handled very professionally, and with great care and sensitivity throughout. I wholeheartedly recommend Susan Todhunter of FBC Manby Bowdler.

When my son was a pedestrian who was hit by a car and suffered a traumatic brain injury, our entire lives changed in an instant. We were thrown into a world of fear, confusion and unimaginable uncertainty. It felt as though we had fallen into a black hole and I had no idea where to turn. While searching online for support, I came across Headway, who advised that in cases like this, the sooner a specialist solicitor becomes involved, the better the outcome for the injured party. I reached out directly to Susan Todhunter at Manby Bowler Solicitors in Wolverhampton, and that single decision changed everything. Susan and the entire team at Manby Bowler have shown incredible professionalism, dedication and care throughout. They have always put my son's needs, his future and his wellbeing first, while supporting me his mom every step of the way. Manby Bowler did not just take on a legal case - they gave us hope, direction and reassurance when we needed it most. I will be forever grateful and cannot recommend Susan Todhunter and Manby Bowler Solicitors highly enough. Truly exceptional.

Following a near fatal accident last year, we was recommended to contact FBC Mandy Bowdler by a work contact. From the first phone call with Sue she understood what happened to me, was sympathetic, informative and reassuring that we was in great hands. All the way through the process Sue was transparent with the information which was regular enough to keep us in the loop and informed - a lot different to the normal solicitors you deal with when buying a property. When it came to the final stages regarding settlement, Sue was honest and realistic with my case as to what could be expected and what we could achieve. I’m glad that we could settle it in a timely manner and am sure if we hadn’t have chosen Sue, it would have taken a hell of a lot longer. This way we can try and move on with our lives as a family and luckily I still have mine. Thanks Sue, you have been excellent!
