At the darkest and coldest point of the year my wife sustained life threatening injuries as the pedestrian victim to a 17-year-old driver whose car, which was travelling at 62 mph, began to spin out of control. Shattered bones, severed ligaments, wounds requiring over 150 stitches and staples, but the one injury with the greatest effect was my wife’s brain injury. Her subarachnoid brain haemorrhage was the most unpredictable and most difficult injury to treat, and the effect of her acquired brain injury still is her biggest challenge in life to this day. Following a near fatal accident last year, we was recommended to contact FBC Mandy Bowdler by a work contact.
