Professional and helpful

Matt Wright was very helpful and professional in his help with our wills. We felt he gave us very suitable support and help and are very pleased the way he handled everything. He was proactive and thorough which was refreshing after our experience with other solicitors. Highly recommended. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again

Highly recommend this excellent service

Claire Speake has carried out both residential and commercial conveyancing for our family over many years so she came highly recommended to us. And thank goodness we had the priviledge or working with this highly professional, empathetic, supportive, thorough and most efficient solicitor representing us as our initial vendor could not have been more difficult to deal with. Claire minimised our stress levels going off radar, never tired of us emailing and phoning and supported us with calmness and dignity. Unlike some solicitors, Claire'e communication is personal and you would think you were her only Client and your problems her only issues for that day. Claire's work is brilliant and we certainly would not entertain having any other firm representing us. We only hope Claire is still working when we decide to move again..... in a few decades. Thank you Claire for all you did, it was hugely appreciated.

Highly recommended. Efficient and personable service

We've worked with Claire Speake on three house purchases (one to completion, two to exchange) and a house sale. She is a dream to work with. Incredibly experienced, efficient, knowledgeable, supportive and personable. She helped us so much through our first experience of buying and selling which was hugely valuable for us. She never misses a thing, kept on top of the process, had great relationships with other solicitors and our estate agents. When we had two purchases fall through at exchange she did all she could to challenge those decisions but when ultimately that wasn't possible she was entirely compassionate. We will always go to Capstone, and Claire, for future purchases and sales.

Excellent service

I came to Capstone Solicitors after shockingly bad service from another firm. Claire Speake (conveyancing) was a breath of fresh air. Her competence, efficiency and excellent clear communication all the way through filled me with confidence and restored my faith that some solicitors do know what they're doing! I not only wouldn't hesitate to use them again, but they will be my first choice next time I need solicitors.

A conveyancing nightmare...

We bought our dream (and final) house and it was a nightmare dealing with Capstone Law, Bristol. They were paid for a house sale, a house purchase and some financial work.
For a small firm they took on too much work at a busy time- yet still the senior partner took leave, and delays followed. These delays cost us money.

Twice we were told go elsewhere - firstly after we had paid the full sale fee when we needed to have a date to book a remover, and we were told that yet again very close to completion. It was clearly impossible to 'go elsewhere' so we, as an elderly professional couple, had to put up with that unpleasant and unprofessional behaviour.

And this was by a senior partner. Their locum described himself as technologically challenged - this led to more delays as he had no scanner. We had to explain to him how to photograph and email documents. And, they could not present an accurate finance statement- it was thousands more- which we had to check and correct! Thankfully we could work out their mistakes and we could do that work for them. Many others would not have been able to.

Unlike with a previous house purchase, where we were given a paper dossier of the important purchase documents all Capstone provided was many emailed docs- some duplicated - a chaotic and a cheapskate way of providing important legal documents.

It was an unpleasant and expensive experience, and no doubt they would blame the Covid situation. But their threats to terminate our conveyancing were unnecessary. A Christian ethos? as they claim - not at all. We really regret using them.

Highly Recommended!

We are not yet at the end of our house move process, but already we would highly recommend Capstone Solicitors. We have been dealing with Rob and he has been responsive and helpful for our never ending questions! He has kept us up to date with progress for both the sale of our current house and the purchase of our new house.

We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Difficult to communicate with and did not trust the advice I received. A different solicitor from another firm resolved my problem easily and quickly.
