In June 2025, I instructed Mark Hopewell to assist with a DBS ‘Minded to Bar’ decision, a matter that threatened my entire livelihood and professional identity. After nearly three decades of nursing in the NHS, I found myself the target of what felt like a witch-hunt, something the NMC failed to acknowledge, remaining blind in their decision-making.
Choosing to instruct Mark Hopewell from Richard Nelson LLP turned out to be the best decision I could have made. I had been overwhelmed with anxiety and uncertainty in my search for the right lawyer, someone knowledgeable, understanding, efficient, ethical, and, most importantly, someone who truly listens to their client.

Absolutely Outstanding Support – Highly Recommend Lauren

I cannot thank Lauren enough for the incredible support she provided during one of the most difficult times in my life. When I couldn't see the light for the trees, Lauren was a calm, clear, and professional presence who guided me every step of the way. She helped put essential financial orders in place, advised me on the best course of action, and handled the entire divorce process with honesty, compassion, and excellent communication.

When my ex-wife was being particularly difficult, Lauren stepped in and liaised on my behalf to ensure all necessary documents were signed and the process kept moving. Her persistence and professionalism made all the difference.

Experience with applying for a dependent visa for my step daughter.

I contacted Richard Nelson LLP after a decision to withdraw NHS funding for my partner, who is severely disabled and lives in a specialist care home.
The solicitor we used, Scott Walker, was excellent. He was meticulous and diligent, and helped me understand the process during a very stressful time. He represented us at the Appeal hearing, and as a result of his hard work NHS funding was restarted, with care home fees that we had paid reimbursed. An excellent job.

Victoria Rees was great in her diligence in helping me to provide what was needed for the process when all my instincts kept moving towards much too personal reflections.
