Poor communication, poor quality service.
We have used them in relation to property transfer and made subsequent enquiries regarding and elderly persons will. In the first instance they required constant badgering to do anything and in the second they didn’t bother to respond.

Friendly and approachable
Natalie recently did our Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She brought up issues we hadn't even considered and we realised there was more to Powers of Attorney than we first thought! Natalie is friendly, approachable and helpful and we have recommended her to several friends.

Updating Wills
We made an appointment on the 8/8/2024, which we were told would be a free meeting to discuss our Wills. We told Harry McCarthy that we wanted to avoid some possible Care Home costs in the future and he recommended "Living Will Trusts" that could not be questioned. We subsequently heard of the "deliberate deprivation of assets" and felt because of our ages that "Living Will Trusts" would not be the answer, in spite of Harry's assurances. We paid for the extra work he did for the draft Trust Wills but still feel he misled us about the "Living Will Trusts" never being questioned. He then did a Simple Will for myself which I signed on the 20/12/2024. My Husband decided to keep his existing Will.

nsc, stephens & co, jhs collusion
selling a clevedon lease i was tied in to using stephens & co. by north somerset council (nsc), stephens & co. recommended john hodge solicitors (jhs) who i instructed. but these three entities: nsc stephen & co. and jhs know each other so well the client becomes a marque and their whole perspective was to alleviate me of my lease at the buyback price and sell on to the full price buyer leaving me 10's of thousands out of pocket. I would avoid nsc, stephens & co, jhs like the plague - AVOID AVOID AVOID
