Our experience of purchasing a flat with DC Law was an absolute disaster. The communication was beyond appalling, emails were rarely answered, phone calls were never returned, there was no flow of information at all and no support when things went wrong. The delays they caused led to our seller pulling out twice, we managed to talk him round but the service did not improve and eventually put us in an awful situation and resulted in us having to rent accommodation at our own expense. When we tried to pull out of the sale they then accidentally left us under contract without them realising (including telling us we were free to move on and even closing our internet portal account). This resulted in receiving an email at midday on the day our mortgage offer expired saying we were being compelled to purchase the flat or would have to forfeit our deposit. I took our case to the ombudsman and they awarded us the maximum penalty in every category we entered complaints in, but it did not come close to covering the financial costs or stress they caused.
