We had a very disappointing experience with Sail Legal. We would not recommend this company to anyone. Our experience with Sail Legal raised grave concerns regarding transparency with costs and communication. We are currently disputing a charge for search fees which we do not believe were clearly explained or properly authorised. We instructed them to assist with a sale yet they are charging us for costs for the buyers searches. We were not informed at the time that the buyer had declined the searches, and only became aware when payment was later requested. Why would a company assisting with a sale order searches in advance of the buyer requesting or authorising this in any event.?! They then seek to recover this from you as the seller if the buyer declines. We completed over 4 months ago! In addition, the terms relied upon appear to originate from Sail Home, while Sail Legal is now seeking to enforce them. This lack of clarity with costs has added to the difficulty in resolving the matter. This is an executor sale and no compassion has been shown to us at all by this company. It’s been grossly disappointing. We would encourage others to be careful before using this company and ensure full clarity on costs and contractual responsibilities at the outset.

This was my second experience with Sail Legal and I couldn't be happier. Edwina Homfray-Davies and her great team guided me every step of the way and were always just an email or a phone call away in every situation. Everyone is very helpful and their professionalism is exceptional. Also, the personalised case portal gives a great sense of security throughout the process. Well done, again. I absolutely recommend Sail Legal.

We had a great experience using Sail and Dominique to manage the sale of our home. We had received several quotes from recommended solicitors and then conacted Sail who are sponsors of our local rugby club. The Sail quote was significantly better value and Dominique proved to be exemplary in the execution of the conveyancing process with minimal fuss. The digital process worked very well for us - we never had to chase for updates and we were able to compete all tasks easily and promptly.

After a slightly slow start, we found the communications were generally excellent and the electronic signing process very efficient. We were particularly grateful for James' speedy and reassuring responses, and Edwina's attention at a couple of tricky points. Good and easy to deal throughout. I would use them again.

Awful service from a conveyancer that divides their time between this and another occupation. This clearly impacts standards. Communication has been seriously lacking or non existent. documentation unfulfilled by the deadline promised. This is the worst experience I have ever had when moving home and would never recommend or use them again.Don’t believe the mission statement “

This is absolutely NOT my experience . This company was recommended by Amicable divorce services who were exceptional. Unfortunately this company does not live up to the same standard .

Edwina is amazing. Always replied to emails and calls and completed everything quickly and efficiently keeping me fully updated. Thoroughly recommend. Very experienced. Thank you for everything x
