ANNIS ROWLAND’S COMMITTED PERJURY BY LYING ON A WITNESS STATEMENT
I spoke with Kirsten Collings who was I supposed to be representing me. Kirsten told me in the first phone call we had that “what I had done was akin to a driving offence and I wouldn’t receive a custodial sentence”. As she asked me on the phone about this. She said “I know you’re worried about that”. This wasn’t addressed by them with me as the client. Until my plea hearing in February 2023. There was several issues with my legal aid forms throughout this. The first issue they allowed a client who had never filled out a legal aid form and I told them this to do it herself. I offered to go to their office in Buxton to sit down with someone and go to through this. They refused and just allowed me to fill this out myself. They asked me to do this myself. I went back for the plea hearing in February and was told the legal aid still wasn’t issued. Two months after initially applying. Then kept telling me it still hasn’t been issued. In April when we went back to court it still hasn’t been issued. But a time before this when I had to apply for legal aid with a different solicitors and a time after that when I applied again for legal aid. Again it was a different solicitors the legal aid was granted within the week. They told me I hadn’t sent them a certain piece of paper work proving my husband’s income. I had sent them every single piece of documentation I thought was relevant. Previously when I used a solicitor the solicitor did this for me or we did it together and on the occasion after the solicitor and I filled out the application in a room at court. I find it strange they asked the client to fill out her own form. When I told them I didn’t understand some of the questions. I feel they they didn’t throughly check the form before sending it to The LAA. This what further cause confusion. On April 3rd 2023 I was at court I was not represented because I had to sack Annis Rowlands. Kirsten came over to me and asked me again about sending them over the alleged missing paperwork. I just nodded and agreed. As I was at court I didn’t want to make a scene. Then when I got home. I sent Kirsten a strongly worded email. Explaining why I wouldn’t be sending them anything else. All the reasons why I have listed here. I told her again I sent the documents over to them several times. I wasn’t doing this again. I sent everything over to prove that we were eligible for legal aid. I told her if previously had legal aid before. I had legal aid after this. I didn’t know what more I could do. Did she want my blood at this point? I was very confused and frustrated with her, Annis and Baker’s as a whole. I also felt they only cared about being paid. They didn’t deserve to be paid for work on a clients case that actually technically hadn’t done. Annis Rowlands and Kirsten Collings were two of the worst solicitors I had ever had the displeasure to have met in my life. Incompetence and ignorance personified. Kirsten never replied to this email. The night before my court case I heard nothing so I rang them and had spoken to Sue Thorpe. Only to find out that Kirsten Collings wasn’t representing me but Annis Rowlands. Had I not phoned them and asked what was going on I never would have known this until I turned up at court for my first hearing on the 21st of December. Only to find someone else was representing me. Annis seemed capable and supportive of me at first. She represented me on two occasions on the 22nd of December 2022 (preliminary hearing) and the 21st of February 2023 plea hearing) She should have been representing me on Monday 3rd April 2023 for my final hearing but I have informed her that I no longer want her to represent me and I will defend myself. The first time I met with her in December things seemed positive and Annis didn’t want to proceed with the hearing based on the duplicitous charges against me by Derbyshire Police. Also, that the charges and the case was all over the place. She stressed to the judge that an adjournment would be necessary. When I met with her again in February, I felt her attitude towards me had changed. I felt that she no longer believed in my case or that I was innocent as technically I was. If she doesn’t believe in me or my case or that I am innocent. That I felt she wouldn’t fight my case as best she could. My only crime was defending myself. Annis is complicit in this as she knows all about the other parties conduct towards me. Yet continued to withhold important information from the judge at my hearings that would help my case. For example, at my hearing in February I felt that Annis deliberately did not disclose the details of the history between myself and the person in the other party. She simply said to the judge that was ‘’bad history’’ between us. As I have said it’s a little more than that other party is trying to ruin my life and the police, probation and individuals like Annis are allowing her to do that. Then in a private phone call I had with Annis she said to me that she felt there was ‘’definite provocation from them’’ and there had been ‘’unpleasant behaviour on their part’’ again it was a little more than that. Why wasn’t Annis stressing this to the Judge at my hearing in February? This is something that should have definitely been mentioned. Saying this to me privately on the phone isn’t fighting my case for me as best she can is it? Annis also refused to allow me to have a witness statement read out in court by that could disprove the other parties claims against me. When I questioned her why? Annis replied saying ‘’it wouldn’t help my case’’. I think differently as the other parties in this have deliberately misled Derbyshire in their investigation against me from the outset. Which is perverting the course of justice. I think legally I have every right to prove this to the Judge. Annis has been shown the various screenshots of evidence to prove he other parties’ dishonesty which she has chosen to ignore throughout this. I have sent her all the evidence of screenshots I sent her all the evidence I have before my last hearing in February. None of which were used in court by her. The prosecuting barrister stood up on their behalf though and mentioned comments I had made to them. Annis did not mention one of the vile comments that have been made to me in defence of my case. Annis also ignored correspondence I sent her time and time again. Refused to acknowledge me on email. I understand she has other clients I wasn’t her only one. But I deserve to at least be acknowledged when I email her. I would give her the same respect. Even when I received letters and emails from Derbyshire that I found distressing and unhelpful. I asked her advice more than once on how to reply and I was ignored. She only acknowledged me herself on email after I emailed her as I was very upset with her conduct towards me at the last hearing. In this email I asked about the witness statement and this question was not answered. I was again ignored by her. It was only when I spoke to her afterwards and asked her about this that I got an answer from her. It was Sue Thorpe who I was corresponding with. When I emailed them to tell them I no longer wanted her to represent me I didn’t get a reply until a week later and that was again from Sue Thorpe not from Annis herself. Annis and Kirsten failed to explain to me the full procedures of the case and court and what would happen. I had to go online and Google it. In the end I rang and spoke to CPS as I wanted to know why it was taking so long for my evidence to be sent over to Baker’s. The lady at CPS explained the situation and asked me ‘’why my solicitor hadn’t told me this?’’ I replied saying ‘’I would like to know that as well’’. ‘’I have not been told anything’’. I then rang Baker’s again and Sue also explained to me what would happen. The court process that it was a first hearing as I honestly had no clue what was going on until the night before my first hearing in December. As it was Kirsten Collings I was dealing with originally. Then the night before I found out she would be no longer representing me at court and Annis would be doing it. I felt like they also deliberately omitted to tell me about the plea process. it was not explained to me from the outset that if I pled guilty it would go to trial and if I lost my case, I could face prison. When I first spoke to Kirsten in December 2022 I was told ‘’you won’t go to prison for this offence’’. So why then on the day of my second hearing in February when I had to make a plea was this only mentioned to me? Ten minutes before I was to go in and make my plea. I felt bullied and coerced into pleading guilty by Annis by being told that if I plead not guilty and I lose I could face a custodial sentence. Surely this is important information you discuss with your client months and months before their plea hearing. Right at the beginning if the case. You be honest and tell the court the truth. You don’t wait until ten minutes before the decision is to be made. To tell your client something like this. It’s just absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I was honestly shocked at their behaviour towards me especially Annis Rowlands. Annis tried to call me a liar at the plea hearing. Which I proved wasn’t by showing her emails to disprove this. Then she sat there with her arms folded as she looked very silly. Annis also asked me in the meeting ‘’if I thought that I was vindictive’’ as I had called Kerry’s’ and Alysha’s conduct towards me vindictive. Is it really professional for solicitors to be making remarks like that to clients at court? Or in any situation. What part of any of my conduct did she perceive as ‘’vindictive’’ as I really would like to know. It is not ever vindictive to stand up for yourself. I sacked her as my solicitor on the 3rd of April 2023. They waited a week to reply to my email to tell me that they’d received it. I tried to formally complain to James Riley the other partner putting everything to him in writing and had no reply. But he was probably too busy harrasing his neighbours. Or being sent to court. This is why I escalated things to The Legal Ombudsman and The SRA. I’ve contacted them several times about this particular practice. I eventually appealed this conviction in a October 2023 and Bakers were approached several times by the judge to be asked to be witnesses at court and explain why a former client of theirs was speaking about them in this way and making such serious damning allegations against them. Bakers ignored the court summons several times. As on more than one occasion when I went back to court my solicitor told me that Baker's still hadn’t responded. The judge was absolutely disgusted at their disrespect of the law and their conduct. After everything they’d already done to me and put me through as their client. They couldn’t even have the decency to face the consequences of their actions. Annis Rowlands eventually wrote a witness statement about me that was full of ingenuities about me. Annis also did not turn up to court to be put on the stand as she was on holiday. Again this angered my solicitor and the judge both were disgusted by this and her. If anyone else did this there would be a bench warrant out for their arrest. I have tried to report them to The SRA and Legal Ombudsman. The Legal Ombudsman investigated some of the complaints I made. I was given a small amount of compensation. But Annis Rowlands still hasn’t been arrested for perjury, charged and remanded. I want her in the box at court when she is sentenced for her crimes. In closing just avoid these people. They are incapable of representing anyone professionally or lawfully. They don’t know the law. They destroy people’s lives and ruin people’s reputations. They are absolutely abhorrent as a law practice. Abhorrent solicitors who are very arrogant and rude. Annis Rowlands enjoy prison. Karma is going to catch up with you and Kirsten and James eventually. I’ll make sure of it. You’re on thin ice and I’ll be underneath it when it breaks. All I will say about them is this was great value for money. They messed up my legal aid forms and ended up representing me for free. Which is what they deserved after the appalling representation they gave me. They didn’t deserve to be paid by The LAA or me. They wouldn’t have received a penny in payment from me. If I was to pay. I would have refused on principal. The irony is these absolute clowns did themselves out of their own legal fees from The Legal Aid Agency as they couldn’t even fill out a clients form correctly. Apparently these people are supposed to be a professional legal practice. But can’t even fill out a clients legal forms properly. Speaks volumes really doesn’t it? KIRSTEN, ANNIS AND JAMES. Absolute disgraces, absolute amateurs. I really hope The SRA shuts down your Mickey Mouse operation and leaves you all jobless and in the gutter where you all belong. Hopefully Annis will be languishing in HMP Holloway. Let’s see how she copes with that. I don’t think she’ll survive. Heres hoping. You need shutting down and stopping before you destroy anyone else’s lives and futures. But as you are still being allowed to practice law since you did this to me you have probably destroyed countless other poor people’s lives. Who were innocent clients who trusted you. Who were victim to your stupidity and lack of knowledge on the law. I am trying to get The SRA to shut this practice down. They should not be practicing law. Everyone please just avoid using ANNIS ROWLANDS, KIRSTEN COLLINGS AND BAKER’S SOLICITORS. It’s honestly not with your mental heath, your future or your livelihood. I’d give these people absolutely no stars. ALSO FYI JAMES RILEY THE PARTNER OF BAKERS PLED GUILTY AT COURT TO HARASSING HIS NEIGHBOUR AND NOW HAS A CRIMINAL CONVICTION. THIS PARTICULAR LAW PRACTICE WERE WELL KNOWN IN THE 1980s FOR EMPLOYING SOLICITORS WHO WERE NOT QUALIFIED. THIS WAS POSTED ON GOOGLE AS A REVIEW BY SOMEONE ELSE. WHICH I KEPT A SCREENSHOT OF. Kirsten Collings and James Riley close your practice for good. Before you destroy anyone else’s lives. Annis Rowland’s do the right thing and go to the police station and hand yourself in for committing perjury against me in relation to my appeal.
