15 Months Wasted – All About the Money, Not the Client
My experience with Simon Lacey Law Associates has been deeply disappointing. Over the course of 15 months as a client, I saw very little progress in my divorce case. What became painfully clear is that their primary concern is not their clients, but how much money is held on retainer.
Despite numerous attempts to move things forward, the advice I consistently received was to simply “wait.” The lack of urgency, strategy, or proactive support was extremely frustrating. In one particularly unacceptable incident, I attended a scheduled hearing—only to discover it had been cancelled without any notice to me. No solicitor attended on my behalf, and I was left completely in the dark.
Communication has also been an issue. Emails from the firm have at times come across as curt and even insulting. The only time I witnessed genuine responsiveness was after escalating the matter to the Financial Ombudsman.
This firm gave me the impression that client care is an afterthought and that fees come first. I would not recommend Simon Lacey Law Associates to anyone looking for reliable, client-focused legal support.
