I contacted Blanchards Bailey to provide me with a solicitor for my house sale. Luke Roper was assigned to my sale. As well as all the usual issues in a house sale, there was an additional issue in that the flat I was selling was in Weymouth Dorset and I had moved to Selkirk in the Sottish Borders. Luke assured me that this would not be a problem. He was true to his word. All issues that came up, and there were many, were dealt with in a very professional manner. I was very pleased with the service that Luke provided and after 2.5 years, and 7 different potential buyers, the sale went through. Luke remained calm, thoughtful and provided clear advice throughout.

I was recently purchasing a new home and was so pleased to be able to find Sarah Trickey at Blanchards Bailey. Sarah had previously acted as conveyancer for me but had moved from the previous company. Her no nonsense attitude, sense of humour and professional manner made my house move so much easier and the price was right too! A very disappointing service from the Probate department - not sure if it was a case of too many clients or a culture within the company - it felt like our file would come to the top every couple of weeks, one task would be done (or just considered) and back to the bottom of the pile it went. Only when a formal complaint was submitted did any concerted action happen. This laidback approach wouldn't work in any other profession. The management needs to look at how Probate applications are processed, with weekly checks and updates for all clients.
