This isn't the first time we have used Mike Trott and it certainly wouldn't be the last time we use MCT Solicitors. Mike and the team have been incredible at dealing with our house sale and purchase, which ended up being a very complex chain with several unexpected turns. We were kept informed throughout by the friendly and professional team and the few times we popped into the office, we were able to see the team straight away. We were referred to Mike by another solicitor after two previous solicitors were unable to act for us because they weren’t on the panel for our chosen mortgage lender. Initially, MCT also wasn’t on the panel, but in true ‘Mike’ fashion, he took the initiative to get MCT added so he could support us.
From the outset, Mike was incredibly friendly and helpful. He and his team provided regular, timely updates, and remarkably, the entire process—from receiving our mortgage offer to moving into our new home—took just 2.5 months. We had made it clear from the beginning that we needed to complete by a specific date to avoid stamp duty increases, and thanks to Mike and his team’s efficiency, we achieved this with time to spare.
While there were some additional fees that weren’t quoted upfront, a portion of these arose due to the specific property we chose—something MCT couldn’t have anticipated. I’d advise anyone going through the process to set aside a financial buffer to cover any unforeseen costs.
Our friends warned us that buying a house would be the most stressful thing we’d ever do, but with Mike and his team, the process felt effortless. We truly couldn’t be more grateful!

I have never in the three times I have moved house thought to myself "well, at least the solicitors were good"... Until now!
Every phone call we made was answered but a bubbly person happy to help. We got regular updates without having to ask, all the paper work came to us in a neatly presented binder, all emails were answered pretty much same day. Honestly it's been great service and for a really competitive price. I would absolutely come here again. Huge thanks to the team!

5* Review for Mike and the team at MCT solicitors.
Mike and his team managed to push through my house purchase in just over 5x weeks from start to finish. Mike and his team are always on hand to answer any (albeit sometimes silly) questions. Mike reviewed my survey without additional charge. They were also happy for me to collect paperwork so the process wasn't delayed due to waiting for documents to arrive in the post.
In addition, the office is based in a perfect location with plenty of parking in the local area.
