We had the misfortune to have Barwells deal with the Will of my father's wife. It was a very straightforward Will with myself and my two siblings and a very small amount of money left after years of residential care home fees. We were assigned Charlotte Cordell who was slow in paying out for the cremation costs.....slow in responding to requests and slow in getting to grips with sorting out what should have been a simple process It took over a year with endless requests for information and very little communication from Ms Cordell We were never given a clear idea of how long this would take and every time we almost got there we were pushed back with yet another consideration that we had no warning of. We were never offered an interim payment and were told, with no warning ,that children who had no contact and were not part of the Will were to be given a chance to contest the Will.. There was very little money left...£5,000 was taken by Barwells for a badly done job I would ask people reading this not to leave their Will in the hands of a solicitor and certainly not Barwells

I have used Barwells Solicitors to set up my Lasting Power of Attorney. Also for my will. The staff, especially Sophie Maloney are understanding of my needs and kind and polite. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.
