We recently instructed Hook & Partners to act on our behalf when buying our first home. We were nervous as first time buyers with all the horror stories we had heard how solicitors delays things. We were so lucky to have Sayuri Serasinghe as our solicitor. We were put at ease from the beginning and she always went the extra mile to make sure that we received a very personal service. She was always there to pick up the phone or respond to my emails whenever I had a question (there were 100s of them). Sayuri and Christina did an amazing job to make sure that we completed within just 2 months of our offer being accepted. More importantly they made it possible for us to complete before Easter which gave us the long weekend to move in and settle in. They are a credit to the firm! Charges were very reasonable for the high level of service they provided. We won't be going anywhere else for our next purchase.

Moving house in the middle of lockdown is one of the most stressful things I've done in my life. Every part of the process was full of faff and delays and getting anything confirmed and sorted has felt like wading through mud. I genuinely don't know what we'd have done without Hook and Partners as our conveyancing solicitors - at points it felt like our move would never happen, but we were always reassured that the H&P team were working to clear the way, identifying and overcoming problems and chasing other parties involved to finally get us into our new home. Steve and his team stayed totally on top of things throughout. They gave us regular updates and responded promptly to calls/emails, answering questions and solving issues quickly, explaining them in a way that helped us understand whether we should be concerned. Despite clearly working flat out during the stamp duty holiday, they went above and beyond, ensuring everything went smoothly, up to and including completion day when frankly they kept us sane helping iron out an unexpected last-minute issue. Moving house is such a convoluted process and it often feels like everyone is saying they've done their bit and blaming delays on others. We knew we could rely on H&P to do everything we needed - and sometimes more - and that was a massive relief. Their professionalism, attention to detail and experience were second to none and we would definitely use them again and not hesitate to recommend them.
