patience

what a diamond she stuck through till the end, it must have been annoying my file being in her office for nearly six years. the joins of having to sell a McCarthy and Stone property first as court of protection then as executor. when a deal was finally underway Rebecca having to put up with me ready to take anything to push it through and Rebecca instilling calm with experience of what would be a deal breaker and what was the vendor pushing their luck with. our estate was extremley grateful that after 6 years we can now wrap up the estate. Many thanks.

Conveyancing & probate

I cannot thank Rebecca March and her team enough and recommend them highly. What has proved to be a somewhat difficult process due to probate, they have all supported me in every sense. Their professionalism, advice, keeping me up to date has been amazing. If paperwork needed to be signed Rebecca or her team would meet me at very short notice. I was also always met with a smile and polite receptionist’s. Rebecca and her team seemed to install a calmness in me making me confident that I was going to get this process done with the time constraints being put upon me from buyer’s. I must say she she also helped with probate side as well, so shows she goes above and beyond.

Amazing!

Amazing! If your considering using Pinney Talfourds please do. 100% recommend, I am so very pleased we went with them, Linda has been amazing, as well as all the usual checks being spot on, she was very quick to respond to me and also so fast at updating me with any checks and liased with our buyer and seller. Linda went above and beyond for us, when I had any concerns or was stressed out in anyway, she was straight on the phone and I felt as though I had a friend on the phone that listened and was so caring, understanding and  considerate, particularly when we had to change our plans a little. She was so much more then a solicitor and I couldn't be more thankful and grateful for her. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again as they have been fantastic.

Complex Sale Completed Professionally

The sale of our property was a real saga - if you were to write a story in the weekend Money pages about it people would think it was made up - taking 2 years to sell during a property boom. Rebecca March and Marie Gilligan were with us from the start of the process and, in what sometimes were quite tortuous situations, were instrumental in keeping the sale going through all the ups and downs.
They were professional, competent, acted in our best interests at all times, were efficient, and also quick to respond to (what were sometimes) very fast moving events. We were also impressed with their communications to us: accurate, clear, and quick.
We have dealt with quite a few legal professionals over the years, in both personal and business capacities, but Rebecca is the best we have encountered and would highly recommend her to others.

Professional and supportive solicitors

We have found them very professional, very efficient under the circumstances. Most of our problems were caused by government decisions and not Pinney Talfourd they have been extremely helpful, supportive and reassuring during such a tough and traumatic case. They allow me to have a voice and be heard, they are the best by far and I couldn't recommend anyone better.

Would highly recommend Anica Holderness

Despite being a particularly difficult transaction, as a consequence of dealing with problematic sellers and a not particularly adept conveyancer appointed by the sellers, Anica skillfully navigated our property purchase (and sale) to completion. Crucially, Anica kept us informed of developments at every stage of the transaction, often contacting us out of hours to ensure the process was kept on track. Nothing was ever too much trouble. In fact, without Anica's tenacious, patient and friendly approach, we would have probably given up on the transaction long ago. We cannot recommend Anica high enough.

Anica Holderness Pinney Talfourds.

We came into contact with Pinney Talfourd's Hornchurch branch first in 1995 and since then we have used them to buy/sell 5 properties. The service of this firm is unparalleled in terms of professionalism, customer relations and efficiency. Their charges are competitive, indeed I feel that they may be actually charging a little lower compared to the work they put in!
Anica Holderness is the property solicitor who was working with us to manage the 3 out 5 transactions we had so far with the firm. I found that she is highly professional, very calm and empathetic person. At this highly charged emotional time Anica is the one we trusted completely. We have a very high regard for the time and the effort she put into our transactions. Anica is very dedicated and meticulous and her top priority is the welfare of her clients.
We do not hesitate to recommend PInney Talfourd and should you need a good property solicitor please ask for Anica!!

Trustworthy and honest.

I contacted Pinney Talfourd Solicitors in 2021 during a very stressful time. I just found them online, so approached them based on their reviews.

My solicitor was Oliver-James Topping, who specialises in Property law.

They assigned him to me right-away after I called from Australia. Straight away I felt supported, which is one of the most important things when you're stressed.

The case involved my rental property, which was being managed very poorly by a management agent, and Oliver-James helped me transfer my house and tenants across to another agent. Oliver-James went above-and-beyond to answer my questions and settle my mind on the matter.

He's a legend, and if anyone needs such a service I will recommend him.

Thank you Pinney Talfourd for providing me this man. I wish your business the best of success.

I have worked with Pinney Talfourd on several occasions in the last decade, every time with their Senior Associate, Anica Holderness. Anica has never been anything other that excellent: responsive, clear, efficient, patient and easy-going. I have valued enormously having a solicitor for several house purchases and sales who I can trust implicitly. It can be a stressful process, and one where the stakes feel very high, and the control relatively low, so having a partner in the process that you rely on throughout is invaluable.

I worked with Alex Pearce at short notice to review, over the Christmas period, my Compromise Agreement.

Alex was refreshingly prompt, concise and communicative. Our assignment, albeit simple and uncomplicated, was concluded with the minimum of fuss. A good advertisement for the practice.

I used Pinney Talfourd for my divorce which is a difficult process at the best of times. I dealt with Rukhma Sohail who was great, professional, always gave me full support, gave me all the information and options available at all times and I felt genuinely represented and got the case settled fairly in the end. Would highly recommend them and obviously Rukhma

About this branch

Description

We can trace the firm's history back to the opening of our first office in Stoke Newington in 1899. There have been many changes at the firm over the years; we are now a leading Legal 500 UK firm and one of the largest law firms in Essex. We provide excellent legal advice. Our lawyers are recognised for their high standards and levels of expertise. Many have expert accreditations and specialist panel memberships in addition to their professional qualifications. We also hold the Lexcel accreditation, the Law Society's Standard for excellence in practice management and client care. We work for you. We deliver and communicate our advice in a way that suits our clients and at a time and place that suits them. We are open 8am - 7pm Monday to Thursday, 8am – 5pm Friday and 9am-12 noon Saturday. We often see clients outside these hours and we are happy to meet at any of our offices or at your office, home or other location more convenient to you. Wheelchair access is provided at all offices. Not all law firms are the same. We differentiate ourselves by always remaining focused on why we exist as a firm - to make our clients happier, wealthier and more successful. Everything else flows from this underlying principle. We provide truly excellent legal advice and service and put the needs of our clients first in everything we do. We appreciate the support of our local community and acknowledge our corporate and social responsibility. We participate in many local events and fundraising activities. Havering Association for People with Disabilities (H.A.D) is our current Charity of the Year and we work with a number of local schools and not for profit organisations.
