I didn’t end up working with them, so I can’t comment on the quality of their service. My review is about the attitude I encountered. I called to inquire about conveyancing services as I’m in the process of buying a flat. The lady I spoke to was quite abrupt. When I explained my situation, she interrupted to ask why I was contacting a Glasgow-based solicitor for a property in Edinburgh—as if that was a problem. For the record, I simply googled ‘Scotland Conveyancing,’ saw them at the top with strong reviews, and gave them a call. Is that an issue? On another note, she kept insisting (although I said it isn't an issue, just 40 min of train travel) that she meets her clients face to face at least once during the process and repeatedly emphasised ID and anti–money laundering checks—in a way that felt unnecessarily accusatory. It almost made me feel as if I was being suspected of wrongdoing, perhaps because my accent didn’t inspire the confidence she was looking for. After experiencing this attitude, I simply called another conveyancer who are much more welcoming and started working with them.
