My time has never been wasted like LPL has in my entire life. We’ve spent 4months and 3weeks on the purchase of a house and it doesn’t seem like we’re close to completion. I’ve been chasing them like they are offering me a free service. Sadly, I didn’t read their reviews before choosing them. My purchase was given to a newbie unsupervised to handle and she has messed up everything. The seller has threatened to pull out twice, twice we’ve extended the mortgage offer from the lender and thrice has she promised we were close to completion and funnily, the dates are a month apart(4th of June, July and August). We’ve even ordered loads of household items based on the promises we got from LPL. Myself and my spouse have now lost the excitement that comes with purchasing a new home and at this point we are waiting for the last mortgage offer we got to expire and probably arrange for our deposit to be refunded. Nobody needs to go through what I’m currently going through.

Very disappointing service. In my experience, the firm was quick to request payment upfront, but after three weeks, no meaningful work had been carried out on my matter. Communication was extremely slow, and I received no clear guidance about the next steps. I repeatedly asked for information and legal advice, but my questions were not properly answered. The customer service team were also unhelpful. Each time I contacted them, I was told that my concerns had been raised and that someone would contact me. Unfortunately, nobody did. I do not feel that my case was handled professionally or efficiently. Based on my experience, I would advise others to instruct a firm that is able to communicate clearly, provide proper advice and actually progress the work.

I was disappointed with my experience using LPL for my property purchase. The main issues were communication and accuracy. Throughout the transaction, I found communication to be poor. I made several calls requesting a callback, but these were often not returned. This was particularly difficult as I was working overseas in a significantly different time zone and relied heavily on prompt responses. The regular excuse was they could not phone an international phone number, despite me only providing a UK number. More concerning was an error in the purchase price recorded on my file. I had provided the correct purchase price from the outset in the initial paperwork and also discussed the figures by phone before instruction because the purchase included a discount. Despite this, the incorrect price remained on their system and was only identified at completion, which meant I had to arrange additional funds at very short notice. During the complaints process, the firm maintained that I had originally provided the wrong figure, but they were unable to provide evidence to support that assertion when asked. I found this disappointing given that I held documentation showing the correct price had been supplied from the beginning. They acknowledged some shortcomings and offered a goodwill payment. However, I did not feel this fully reflected the stress and inconvenience caused. My experience was that the transaction was completed, but the service fell short in terms of communication, attention to detail, and accountability when errors were raised. LPL's latest tactic has been to come up with new reasons for their errors, or revert to old excuses which they can't provide evidence to support.

LPL failed to complete my purchase. Communication is appalling, you cannot speak with your solicitor via email or phone. The complaints team and the staff who respond to reviews are at times rude and made claims that were not factually accurate. They wasted my time for months without providing proper reasoning. It's also telling that after I changed to a more expensive firm my new solicitor was able to complete the case in good time and communicate with me during the process. The case was in fact not complex and did not warrant the significant delays LPL put me through. I do not recommend this firm; instruct a more professional firm.

Utterly unsatisfactory experience with this company. They made buying and selling a nightmare. Avoid at all costs. From repeated administrative errors, rude and dismissive solicitors, poor communication and glacially slow service, this made our moving process incredibly stressful, frustrating, difficult and upsetting. I do not usually leave negative reviews but I wouldn’t want anyone to go through the same ordeal as us. The company have also failed to respond to my complaint.

Beatrice was very helpful throughout the whole process and answered any questions I had and kept me updated on the progress of my purchase often.

Overall a very good and modern approach to conveyancing. The initial onboarding was a little cumbersome but the work of Irene and Maram, when actually completing the legal elements was brilliant. Maram, in paticular, was great at keeping in touch with us and updating us. The lack of 5 stars is purely because the onboarding was a bit of a faff.

Honestly if I could leave a 0 star revier I would. I can only imagine the good reviews for this form are either AI or marketing. DO NOT EVER USE THIS FIRM! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NEVER USE THEM! Look the slightly cheaper price might tempt you but honestly don't do it! Any good review of these guys is a scam! All I need to say is who waits for the 23rd week of an exchange to run a proof of funds check (this check was all fine and authorised btw but lead to the breakdown of the chain) Please please please do not use these guys and if you're already using them and experiencing the shitshow of these ‘solicitors ‘ I pray you don't have Michelle!

Beatrice was absolutely amazing, extremely efficient, great communicator and so helpful. She went above and beyond for us and made the house buying process really smooth. I can't thank her enough.
