More than a year on from my flat purchase and some unexpected issues have cropped up from things seemingly(?) not done June 2024.
1) Resolution of a missing money following completion did take a while (raised in August 2024 and resolved January 2025). Had not expected it to take this long and further escalation.
2) Service charge amount accounted for in completion statement seems not to have been paid (according to recent service charge invoice). Annoyingly have had to pay the amount again so that I am not then having issues with the freeholder.
3) Insurance policy not activated in my name. I was not initially worried and presumed this was just something that may take a while anyway but NHBC advises that it was not activated at all until chased.
Realistically not much else to do but chalk this up to a more negative than positive experience. Firms are understandably busy with cases so not always going to be perfect and maybe the above is an outlier in their practice but I am now worried that there will be ANOTHER thing that will be brought to my attention.
