As an Employer they are a provider of a worst working environment ever!
Awful, a beyond description working environment. I had to ask the HMRC to investigate my statutory sick payment because they underpaid me money which was owed to me. It took almost 7 months to sort this out, what kind of employer would not want to pay an amount under £80 that was outstanding? Obviously an employer who is not worth working for, hence I left. I had to complain to Information Commissioner Officer to get them to deal with my subject access request. Again, this took three times longer than it should have. This is not how a professional firm acts. This team is very small and is run by a woman who is extremely unpleasant, argumentative most of the time and occasionally "forgets" her job position and signs letter as a solicitor even though she is ONLY an ILEX registered staff member.... but because there is no proper Human Resources Manager this place is run in a wild manner and if someone does not like East Enders or other TV rubbish than she has a conflict with you. She is an abrupt and loud individual who shouts about the latest soap opera episodes while you're trying to work and starts an argument if you tell her to reduce her noise level or answer her back. Before I started officially working there, I was told by one of the partners that she was a difficult individual to work with - I just didn't realise how difficult he meant, and I now realise why there is a high turnover in staff of those that have worked under her. I am happy I have left and if you are really ambitious about your career, save yourself from a petty closed minded work environment that is oppressive and stressful. If there were Zero stars available to give this firm, I would have marked it so.
