I had no idea about the legal process involved but Alison guided me through it step-by-step, simplifying what at first was complicated, and always looking out for my best interests. Being a specialist divorce solicitor without ever appearing to be profiting from such a traumatic situation takes a special skill, and Jo Spain has it. While the opposite side appeared to do little other than send letters and invoices, Jo maintained total integrity throughout, keeping things respectful and focused on the fact that there were real people with painfully real emotions involved, not just "clients" with credit cards. If ever emotions were inflamed, Jo's ability to calm things down and find a way forward was incredible. No one ever wants to be in the situation where they have to recommend a divorce solicitor to a friend, but if anyone I knew needed such help, then I would have not a second's hesitation in giving them Jo's details.
