I had reason to swear an affidavit, remotely, from another country, in front of Caitlin Gilbert today. I provide support to one of Ms. Gilbert’s clients who is going through a difficult personal situation, fraught with anxiety. Ms. Gilbert has been compassionate and attentive to this client’s needs and provided her client with excellent advice and guidance. Having met with her myself, I can attest to her passion for and commitment to working with clients who are in sensitive situations, as well as to her depth of knowledge of the law required to ensure the best possible outcomes for them. Caitlin represented me in a case with my childs dad for about 3 years this case went on for. She was supportive, helpful and such a lovely woman. At my initial enquiry/appointment with Solicitor, Caitlin Gilbert, the Guardianship process was clearly explanined. Thereafter, I agreed to engage Caitlin to present the application to the Court and that basically was all I had to do from a legal standpoint. The Court process is not quick but I was kept informed throughout. When the order was granted then began the full interaction with the OPG. There was an omission in the initial Gurdianship Order which was soon rectified. There were also a few issues unrelated to to the order which were handled swifty by Caitlin and the office staff. Caitlin was always at the end of an email if I had any questions or queries the needed explaining. A first class service throughout.
