I instructed this firm in relation to a motoring matter on a standby basis. While work was carried out and staff were generally polite, my overall experience was disappointing due to poor communication and lack of proactive case management. In particular, I was not asked when I was due to return to the police station, which resulted in advice being given only hours before a critical police interview — something I had to notify the firm about myself. This left me feeling underprepared and unsupported at a key stage. Communication around court attendance times was also confusing and caused unnecessary stress. Although the firm maintains that all work was completed in line with their package, I do not feel the level of reassurance, clarity, or proactive guidance I received justified the fees charged. Concerns raised were ultimately dismissed rather than meaningfully addressed. This may suit clients who are very confident managing matters themselves, but if you are looking for clear, proactive communication and close case management, I would advise caution.

As explained in the detailed written response you have already received, the chronology of events, the advice given, and the actions taken by our team have been fully documented and verified. Your suggestion that you were left without guidance before key stages is incorrect. Where time critical events such as police interviews or court hearings are concerned, the timing is controlled solely by third party agencies. For example, if the police choose to notify a client of an interview directly and with little notice, or if a court unilaterally changes a listing time without informing the legal representative, these are matters entirely outside our control. In these situations, we always advise our clients promptly once we are made aware and this occurred in your case. You also assert that you were given incorrect court information. Our enquiry established that the court time provided to you was the time confirmed to us during our checks. If the court subsequently amended the listing without notifying us, responsibility for that change lies squarely with the court, not with the legal representative who has already confirmed the correct information. Your review omits reference to the significant work undertaken on your behalf, the advice given at each stage, and the multiple attempts made to contact you. It also overlooks the fact that some of the difficulties you describe resulted from external agencies’ actions, not from any failing on our part. As set out in our written response, we did not uphold your complaint or your request for reimbursement, as no shortcomings in our service were identified. Let me start by saying I would recommend Geoffrey Miller solicitors with no hesitations 100%. I was stopped less than 1 hour later and deemed to be driving with excessive alcohol whilst driving home from work after chugging almost a bottle of wine quickly. I was extremely tired and stressed after been 'on call' that night and to rub salt in the wound I got an email that same evening that the company has gone 'Bust'. I received a Notice of Intended Prosecution for speeding which I duly filled in and posted. It was only a few hours later that I realised that my husband and not I had been driving at the time of the offence. We both wrote to the Met Camera Processing Services explaining the error and asking that the matter be redirected to my husband. These had no affect and I then received an ‘invitation’ to attend a National Speed Awareness Course, which I could not do, since I had not been the driver. I then contacted Geoffrey Miller who were extremely helpful and reassuring, and as a result of an excellent letter they wrote to the Met Camera Processing Services, the matter was redirected to my husband. I was very impressed with the professionalism, speed and friendliness of the firm of Geoffrey Miller.

It was a very stressful situation for me especially being my second offence for drink driving within 10 years but from the outset I was looked after and reassured. Tara was super helpful and gave me all the information up front and a good breakdown of how the proceedings would go for me, which empowered me to make the decisions I needed to make and kept calm throughout. From my initial call with Saskia I was reassured immediately that a positive outcome could be achieved. I was initially hesitant due to the costs involved however “you get what you pay for“. A drink-driving conviction would be career ending for me and restrict my ability to move freely around the world. In April 2023, I was pulled over and faced a drink driving charge. After scouring the internet to find the best solicitors for drink driving cases, I narrowed it down to two firms, ultimately choosing Geoffrey Miller, because they were able to connect with the expert witness I requested, Dr. Mundy. People need to know that you pay for quality with Geoffrey Miller, so if you're not willing to pay the fee, go elsewhere and risk losing your case. I was later supported in preparation for my court date by my solicitor, Elizabeth Morrice. My advice is to follow their instructions to the letter and do everything they ask, when they ask. The CPS was completely unprepared for the strong case Mr. Lucas presented, and the judge ruled there was no case against me, resulting in my acquittal. I was free to go. I contacted Geoffrey Miller in December of 2022 as a last resort after being charged with failing to provide a specimen. I was set to lose my license for 3-5 years after having a previous drink drive conviction. Right from the off they assured me they would look at every aspect of the case to see what defence we had (I did not think we had any) Thanks to Justyna and her team they was able to see the negligence and failure to comply with procedure that the police had committed. In November 2023 I was found not guilty! A huge thank you must go to Phillip Lucas, he is the best barrister around! he knows the law around driving offenses inside out and there is no better person fighting your corner. Now the fees are very expensive, especially as I had to pay for expert witnesses and a further day at court due to the case be adjourned. However you get what you pay for and that is the best!

Helpful and kind people, they are not only provide 5 stars service, but also sort out your problems all the time. This may be the only one you should try if you have any traffic offence allegations. They are specialist on drink drive and drug drive offence, please do not assume that you should be guilty all the time. As my experience, some officers made the case against you to boost their KPI.

14 months ago, I managed to get myself caught speeding, triggering a court appearance as it got me to 12 points. One month later, three points dropped off my licence and then two weeks later I was caught speeding again (no excuses, just total lack of concentration). I still hadn’t been to court for the first problem.
