HG LEGAL SOLICITORS — MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE — ⚠️AVOID❌️ Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend HG Legal Solicitors. I felt repeatedly unheard, dismissed and inadequately supported throughout my case. I did not feel that my instructions and concerns were properly listened to or that my case was investigated and prepared to the standard I expected. I was particularly unhappy with how aspects of my family, upbringing, mental health and past appeared to be brought into matters that, from my perspective, were irrelevant to the case. A person's family or past does not define who they are as an adult, and I believe clients should be judged on the circumstances of their actual case rather than assumptions or conflicting “he said, she said” accounts. I was also disappointed with the court representation and communication I received. I wanted confident advocacy, proper preparation and a solicitor who would genuinely listen and be my voice. Instead, I came away with a significant loss of trust and confidence. Communication was another major issue. I experienced difficulties getting responses to emails and WhatsApp messages and, on occasions, felt that matters only progressed after I indicated that I would escalate my concerns. I also raised concerns regarding discrimination and racism, but I did not feel these were dealt with in the way I had hoped. I appreciate that everyone's experience is different, but this is mine. I believe every client — whether privately paying or receiving legal aid — deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, professionalism, proper communication and competent representation. My advice to anyone considering HG Legal is simple: do your research, read reviews carefully, ask questions and consider your alternatives before instructing them. Based on my experience, I would choose a different firm. Google should consider introducing a zero-star rating option. A one-star rating can still suggest a level of satisfaction that some businesses simply have not earned. Based on my personal experience, HG Legal Solicitors would be one of those businesses — in my view, even one star feels too generous.
