Waterstone Legal has unfortunately lacked the high expectations that it holds itself up to. It is highly disappointing especially towards the process behind my mortgage. There was a lack of transparency and communication, for many days I was left without any response despite my consistent messages, calls and emails. It was rare instances at which she decided to message back, overall this has began to make me question whether Waterstone Legal is putting their client first and answering questions. Secondly, the attitude. Unfortunately, many people alongside myself aren't particularly aware of the processes behind these complicated systems like getting a mortgage and it is why we rely on Waterstone Legal. However, members at Waterstone have not offered that sense of understanding and somewhat rude at times when I was unable to understand what was being told or asked. It took awfully long for the mortgage to be processed and linked with the lack of transparency. Whilst there is no denying that issues may occur along the way, it should seem standard to be informed about the troubles and the duration of how long this may take. Finally, contacting the reception at Waterstone Legal was poor. When connected, they had no information in regards to the situation and hence would call me back after informing the relevant member. However, no call back had ever occurred. As you can see, Waterstone Legal has significantly undermined it's clients and their wellbeing, creating a rather unpleasant experience.

Ms. Oliverta Mediu handled my husband’s case, and our experience was deeply disappointing on multiple levels. Throughout the duration of the case, she was largely unresponsive and unproactive. Communication was neither timely, accurate, nor transparent, which led to repeated delays — ultimately causing us to lose our hearing, a day I will never forget. Despite the high legal fees charged, Ms. Mediu often delegated responsibility to her trainee, who was left to handle critical parts of the case and communicate with us directly. We were repeatedly asked to submit the same documents, a clear sign of disorganization and a failure to properly review or file the materials. Losing our hearing was a direct result of the inefficient and careless legal service provided, and it has had a lasting negative impact on our lives. What’s most upsetting is the emotional toll this experience took on us. We spent years waiting, hoping for better guidance and commitment. When we finally made the decision to change legal representation, the matter was resolved in under two months — something that could have happened much sooner if our case had been handled with care and professionalism from the start. Our greatest regret is having put our trust in someone who consistently showed a lack of empathy and genuine investment in our case. This was not just a financial loss, but a profound waste of time and emotional energy. Ms. Mediu, please understand that the way you handled our case has had a lasting and deeply negative impact on our lives.

I would not recommend this firm, even under its new management. The transition to another solicitor has made no noticeable difference in the level of service. Communication is painfully slow, and I constantly had to chase them for updates. The reception staff appeared more focused on personal matters—like discussing what shoes to buy—than on assisting clients. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.
