Professional service from Phillipa Howett and the team at Lathams
I have had first hand experience of Estate Administration of two family members, handled by two separate solicitor company's recently. whilst I am not going to share the name of the other company, It is not in anyway difficult for me to say that Phillipa and her team at Lathams really did stand out as the best, in all ways. I believe Phillipa has been with the company pretty much since she qualified, I think this Is worth a lot, as some companies will let newly qualified solicitors handle the account, In my experience they do not last long and are asked to handle too much. Also worth mentioning, anything that was handled by Phillipa's very competent team rather than directly by her, was never a problem and she would be in on all emails. And finally I have to mention communication, very important and its very clear at Lathams Thank you Andrew

Requirement for Court of Protection Deputyship ref relative's lack of capacity
When a relative was affected by dementia and loss of capacity we family members became aware of the suspension of the relative's occupational pension. When they/we were unable to meet the requirements of the pension providers continuing entitlement to pension criteria, the provider did not recognise the family's right to represent the elderly relative without 'Court of Protection' recognition. Ms Dennis promptly and clearly dealt with the process by which Court of recognition could be pursued again and guided us to a successful outcome. Excellent!
