Satisfied Client

I sought the advice of Mr Peter Webster on an issue with my builder in early 2022 and by mid-2022 I had engaged his services as a dispute had crystallised and I had received a notice of adjudication. The dispute resulted in 4 complete adjudications, 3 of those we won!

Mr Webster is not only an attentive and conscientious solicitor but he is highly effective. I have first hand experience of his commitment to his clients, he literally will do everything to help and not rest until all options have been exhausted.

happy to recommend

Thank you for your help in achieving a satisfactory conclusion to a commercial dispute regarding provision of IT related services and IP rights. Your prompt actions firstly stopped us losing further money during the negotiations, and then helped reach a satisfactory agreement with all outstanding monies paid by the other party and with a minimum of costs. I would be more than happy to recommend your work to others, and particularly your approach of seeking resolution to the situation before any costly Court case. It is good to know there are solicitors around who work to achieve a negotiated resolution rather than taking every case to the Courts

Knowledgeable

When the council's longest ever and most complex land reclamation contract fell into dispute, Peter provided us with legal advice and guidance. I was impressed by his incisive understanding of the complexities, but above all his constant effort to seek resolution in the client's interest by conciliation and the avoidance of protracted and costly litigation. The land is now reclaimed and almost fully developed, being commonly regarded as one of the most successful regeneration schemes in the North of England.

professional

I would like to thank you for your invaluable support and professionalism over a five year period in what were trying and challenging times. You have the innate ability to demystify the most daunting of legal complexities and empowered the PCT to successfully mount a multi party legal claim. The outcome was a multi million pound settlement against the contractors and an amicable resolution with the stakeholders. I felt confident and informed throughout the litigation process and while I hope that I will never require the support of a solicitor in the future if I do you will always be my first port of call. It was refreshing to deal with a professional who always went above and beyond in his approach to work and I value the relationship that was formed during our protracted pursuit of the contractors and the professional team.

Peter was the working focal point of the legal services provided to the team. He acted upon directions from Senior Partners and was always responsive to our questions. He understood the resolution we were all trying to achieve, in complex and complicated legal areas, always overshadowed by the Central Government agenda of available additional funding. Throughout this our relationship suffered the pangs of failure and the joys of success, but never once was there any failure of the team relationship. The outcome was a resolution of the coal washing dispute, a means whereby work could recommence, agreement of the lease-holding parties, some unresolved funding risk to the Local Authority, but certainty of completion of the Wath Manvers Regeneration Area

I highly recommend Polly at Thea. She helped me with advice in a delicate divorce situation. Polly is incredibly knowledgeable, professional yet kind, efficient and a great listener. Unlike other solicitors she actually cares and allows you to make the best decisions for yourself based on factual options she provides. She is also a very reasonable, dedicated human being. She presents you with the facts, explains what is likely to happen in court based on the information you provide and allows you to think and decide what suits you and your circumstances best. Highly recommended and truly genuine and helpful person! Thanks Polly!
