Me and my housemates had trouble getting our deposit back from our old landlord. Got to the point where our old landlord was totally ignoring us and we didn't think we would get anything back after having done nothing wrong and doing everything that was expected of us. We did some investigating and found out our old landlord had not protected our deposit which we knew was illegal but we had no idea how to proceed. We all work full time so didn't want to spend all of our time trying to fill out forms and dealing with a legal system we aren't familiar with. Got in contact with Cook Legal and they were great. Flexible contact arrangements and once they had confirmed we had a case they explained how they work and that they would only take a 25% fee at the end once everything had been settled and we had won the case in court. They kept us well informed the whole time and did absolutely everything for us. We have now received our payment and are all very happy with the result and their service!
