I’ve sold a few properties through brewer Wallace over the past few years and every time I use them the service seems to get worse!
I’m currently selling a property and using them as my solicitors (for the last time!) we were meant to complete mid January after I agreed a sale early November. and I’ve had no communication from them whatsoever throughout the sale process and not even a single update unless I’ve called them to ask for one. this is over 2 weeks past the completion date now!
Every time I contact them it feels like I’m being a nuisance from the way I’m spoken to over the phone.
I’ve been fobbed off for weeks now saying they’re waiting for paperwork from the buyers solicitors and they haven’t received any correspondence from them in weeks! Yet they haven’t bothered to try calling the solicitors to chase the issue, even after numerous calls by myself asking if they would call them to get me an update. I’m either told to just wait and I “SHOULD” hear something any day now (I’ve been told this for a month! And when they do agree to phone the solicitors and call me back with an update straight away, I have to yet again phone them the next day to be told that they EMAILED them yesterday and are just waiting to hear back!
It’s safe to say I’ll be taking my business elsewhere in future and I’ll be telling my contacts to do the same!
When I pay good money for a solicitor I expect them to do what I pay them for, not micromanage them.
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere!
