Exceptional, first class service

From the very start, every person I have dealt with has gone over and above to help with our sale and purchase. I was recommended to use this firm and they have been professional, pro-active, approachable and I have not had to chase anything as they have been at least one step ahead all the way through. Great service is surprisingly rare these days, so thank you to the whole team for doing so well
at keeping the stress of moving house to a minimum!

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a conveyancer.

Taylor Fawcett have recently helped with the sale of our old house and purchase of our new house. We're really happy with the service we've received and the work that Stephen has done—always quick to reply to any questions and got things sorted efficiently. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a conveyancer.

Appalling from start to finish

My remortgage experience: Total incompetence - I speak as a former solicitor. Also dreadful in terms of value for money, and so rude too. When they finally confirmed to me today that we were completing our remortgage (weeks after it was due) I was accused of being rude when I sounded a bit terse on the phone. The caller then hung up on me! If you’re wanting good value, things done in accordance to scheduled time scales, a soilicitor who actually starts doing requisite searches etc when instructed and not several weeks later, and good customer service go elsewhere. This lot are dreadful. None of the basic boxes ticked I’m afraid.

Unprofessional & don't communicate

I am the vendor and the buyer is using Taylor Fawcett, my property is a small, first time property which is 6 years old. I am not purchasing another property (thank god otherwise I probably would have lost it by now) and the buyer is a first time buyer so there is no chain.

I know I can only speak from my experience of them but I hope the vendor also reviews them as I know she is very frustrated too.

The main issue is lack of communication and broken promises. Weeks go by with me, the buyer, our estate agent and a financial adviser chasing, chasing, chasing for update. Either no one can get through to the solicitor on the phone, we get an email reply saying 'it'll be looked at tomorrow' (lies) or the time I have called them and asked them to call my estate agent I was told, quite rudely, that they cannot take demands from me and to get a solicitor! Charming!

The solicitor at Taylor Fawcett is working at a snails pace and if there were issues I would totally understand as long as they actually kept us in the loop. The reality is that this could have all been sorted a lot sooner and I've lost in the range of 3-4 weeks of progress because of 'not receiving replies to enquiries' which were definately sent! This sort of thing could be resolved so quickly with a little bit of communication.

In my current situation it means every month I lose money paying for the mortgage/ utilities on my property which is causing an extreme amount of stress as I know I don't have any power to do anything. This week is 20 weeks in to the process without a whisper of exchange dates!

Everyone who is involved with this process is annoyed and I've even just had an email from the financial advisor who said, 'I am dumbstruck - yet again !? It seems like she wants to attract criticism - like a self-destruct personality ?'.
