Massive thanks to James and Georgie!

We were recommended to work with Ison Harrison by our mortgage advisor and it was a great recommendation. When you hear about conveyance solicitor firms, our first thoughts were to expect delays and long periods of silence. James Turnbull and Georgie Strandmann provided us with the total opposite experience. They were extremely attentive and James was amazing at keeping us up to date throughout the process. When we requested a completion date, James helped ensure everything was done for it! Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, even the very novice questions we had 😅 we’re both very appreciative of the service they provided and would recommend both James and Georgie and Ison Harrison. Big ups ✌️

She was always happy to talk through fine points, and helped us through any tricky spots, always with a friendly, helpful and totally transparent approach. She always followed up with requests very quickly, and was proactive when dealing with other solicitors in our buying chain. I recently worked with Victoria Boid and Daniel Allison during a company sale. They have both been absolutely brilliant. They made a very stressful and difficult process as easy as it could possibly be. They supported me all the way and made sure that everything was as fair as it could be. There were some very difficult issues and they resolved things in an efficient and timely manner.

Victoria worked really hard and fought our company and my corner in the most professional way.
Attention to detail from Daniel was second to none. He remembered everything and supported/reminded me of what I needed to do with some complex contracts.

I could not have gone through this process without their support. They made a brilliant team, complimenting each other and they were always available whenever I needed them.
If anyone is looking for M and A lawyer's to undertake a sale or purchase - this is your TEAM!!

Buying and selling a home.

Acquired a buyer for my home, on the 5th of march we agreed to employ Samantha Worsman (Accociate) at ison Harrison Bingley. We had read her company description below
Samantha has extensive experience in residential property conveyancing.

She is an efficient and meticulous case handler who thrives under pressure. She is a highly motivated individual who always strives to make the whole of the conveyancing process as stress-free as possible.
When she is available she is going to chase it up, very poor at getting back to me.
I get information from our buyers estate agent and also our sellers estate agents as well as the building company, me passing on information to the office. Some weeks ago we were told Samantha was due to go on holiday the 9 July we assumed as it was some weeks away a moving date would be no problem, but no . She did say not to worry if a completion was not reached by then she would call me before her holiday 8th July but no , she’s not in. A lady at the end of the phone seems surprised at our call and says that she will chase it up. So not happy. Is this normal not to keep me in the loop ?

I have recently had a terrible experience with the Harrogate branch of Ison Harrison.
They made an error with paper work which could have easily been rectified, had they owned up and said 'sorry'. But they refused to apologise, and behaved in a way which I found arrogant and unprofessional.
I will never use them again.

Would give 0 stars if I could. The worst customer experience we have ever encountered. Ignored phone calls and emails, poor advice, and a deep lack of professionalism throughout. Thankfully our case was eventually passed onto a solicitor in the Bingley branch who actually cared about the service she provided and we have now been given a partial refund. The solicitor and his assistant we were unfortunate enough to be allocated to originally at the Harrogate branch were an absolute disgrace.

Over the past 45 years the firm has grown from a one man band to what is now a large regional law firm employing over 230 staff across 17 offices throughout Yorkshire. We offer the broadest suite of legal services in the region and are very much embedded in the communities in which we have offices. Whilst some of the growth has been facilitated through acquiring other smaller firms, most has been organic as a consequence of clients recommending us or returning for additional services. As you can see the firm has enjoyed substantial growth over the past decade. We have always taken the view that standing still as a business is not an option for us. We have seen many law firms either go out of business or reduce in size over the years and we were determined not to struggle in the same way. We have therefore constantly looked to improve. We have looked for opportunities to grow our profile, the number of our offices, and the breadth of services that we offer.
