We’ve all got a story of where we have come from, who we are and what makes us tick. This is ours. Over the past 45 years the firm has grown from a one man band to what is now a large regional law firm employing over 350 staff across 20 offices throughout Yorkshire. We offer the broadest suite of legal services in the region and are very much embedded in the communities in which we have offices. Whilst some of the growth has been facilitated through acquiring other smaller firms, most has been organic as a consequence of clients recommending us or returning for additional services.

A simple house conveyance has taken over 4 years and is still not resolved preventing my next move. Avoid!
I can’t thank Shaun, Jordan and Mary enough for everything they did for me. From the first meeting to the end, they were always professional, supportive and honest. Their legal expertise and integrity really stood out, and they made a difficult process much easier to deal with. They always kept me updated, explained everything clearly and were there whenever I had questions. I always felt like I was in safe hands, and I’m really grateful for all their hard work. Don't use these so called solicitors....
Geraldine and Daniel were excellent, unlike some of the dealings I have had in the past with solicitors. Both Geraldine and Daniel were responsive, extremely helpful and patient when there were aspects I didn't understand and I really felt that they had my best interest at heart. Thank you both!
AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD! In 2022 IH represented my partner in the purchase of her property in York. They made a major mistake, not checking the documents thoroughly enough and showing the due diligence that a legal team should. This is subsequently impacting the sale now, and despite having more than 4 weeks since another solicitor highlighted this error, IH refuse to take any ownership, accountability or show any sign of taking corrective action - this comes direct from one of the Partners (who I shall not yet name). They are causing the delay in sale and purchase, they are creating misery for my partner and I, and 3 children under the age of 10. IH are an embarrassment to the profession. For your own sake, they might be the cheapest (and here's the reason!) but spend a little more and go with a decent and reputable firm. AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD! AVOID WAKEFIELD!
