Stick To Your Guns

Injured at work. Employer finally accepted full liability after 4 year’s but that didn’t stop them from attempting to push 100% of the blame back on myself. Used tactics such as character assassination, work ethic, etc.
What they couldn’t hide was the overwhelming proof that they did not train or supervise their staff and used unskilled and low paid labour. Case finally wrapped up mid March 2025.

Friendly and Efficient

From my first contact with Tim Robinson I felt that we were on the same wave length, he was friendly and to the point. I had a feeling of trust. And this proved to be so throughout my personal injury case, where I was knocked down in a bizzare road traffic accident by an out of control car. Tim always explained the processes involved and what was going on clearly and had time to speak to me. I feel that he achieved the best outcome possible.

After a life changing industrial accident Catherine assisted me over what turned out to be a three year period to settle on good terms.

I really do appreciate the advice and assistance I was given by Catherine and feel that I was linked with the best medical professionals and such.

I was offered sound advice and kept informed throughout with timely responses and a pro active approach taken at all times by my solicitor.

It is worth noting that I had previously instructed another firm on this matter and come to truth legal as I really wasn’t happy with the other firm.

After suffering a serious accident at work and having no legal knowledge I am very thankful I was able to discover Catherine and the Truth Legal who gave me the upmost support, care and help throughout the entire process, at a great no-win-no-fee agreement too. Supportive, understanding and helpful.

Catherine worked with me over the 8 month duration of my claim. After a particularly traumatising workplace incident I was unsure if I even wanted to proceed with a claim as I knew it would be an emotionally difficult process. Catherine and her team were always understanding, patient and clear with their explanations of what the process would involve and what the next steps would be. Everything was handled smoothly and sensitively. Appointments with medics were organised for me.

Catherine always made time to speak to me on the phone, or to reply promptly to my emails, to keep me updated with the progress of my claim. She made all the legal jargon very easy for me to understand in layman’s terms.

It is an arduous and emotional process putting a claim through, but Catherine was warm and professional and kind at all stages. Concluding my claim has helped me to regain a sense of control over an incident in which I was completely powerless. Many, many thanks.

After being approached by an an insurance company for documentation and story of accounts, I needed someone to represent me and look through all the small print with my interests at heart. Truth Legal cut through the jargon, were in my corner, and looked after me and my case - taking away all the headache and concerns I might have had... I could leave them to it.

We contacted Truth Legal earlier this year in a quagmire of immigration difficulties. Louis MacWilliam not only helped us with what we thought needed to be done, but proposed a different and way better solution. I am now living in England and very happy to recommend Truth Legal. At first we thought the costs might be a bit high, but considering all the time and money we saved I'd say they were more than fair and we saved quite a lot of money in the end.

We got off to a very bad start with simpson millar, in that our original conveyancer was completely unresponsive, uncontactable, and this continued for what was around 4-5 months. I had to stay on the phoneline for a very long time and push to talk to a manager, and insist that something happened to progress our case, as it should have been completed easily by this point. After this, a manager gave our case file to a new conveyancer, Sarah Wakeman, who was very understanding, very professional and helpful and completed our case within the next 4-5 weeks.

The consequences of what happened originally are that, we had to complete on the property we were selling (with a different conveyancing group) as to not lose our buyers, leaving us with nowhere to live and having to find short term accommodation. We also had to pay for a storage unit for our furniture, a van to move there, and consequently a van to move to house upon completion, we ended up having to do 300miles a week just taking taking children to school, and we also ended up having to pay the stamp duty, so as you can see, the delays made it extremely costly for us, and we believe this was all very much avoidable.

As stated earlier, Sarah was brilliant and apologetic on Simpson Millars behalf, despite non of the problems were caused by herself, she did her best to try to overcome and hurry the process along. If Sarah had our case from the start, I would have given 5 stars.
