In England, development deals cover commercial property projects from site assembly to delivery. A solicitor drafts and negotiates development agreements, option or promotion agreements, and ancillary documents such as collateral warranties, planning obligations under the Community Infrastructure Levy or S106, and security for performance. They coordinate with planning authorities, funders and contractors, prepare disposals and registrations, and advise on risk allocation, title issues and tax implications.
