This area covers the division of matrimonial assets on divorce or separating couples in England. It includes property, savings, pensions, investments, and sometimes business interests, as well as jointly owed debts. A solicitor in this field helps identify and value assets, orders financial disclosures, and negotiates a settlement that fairly reflects each party’s contributions and needs. They may prepare or respond to court applications under the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973 and draft a consent order or financial settlement for the court to approve, including pension sharing or earmarking where appropriate.

“I have been dealing with Anita Scorah who has navigated me through a very difficult divorce. Her advice and continued support and understanding has been invaluable to me and ultimately Anita has secured the outcome I needed. Latterly I have been dealing with Kelly Few for my conveyancing requirements and again, extremely friendly and professional and supported me through a transfer of ownership. ”
