In England, collaborative law is a family-law process in which separating parties and their solicitors agree to resolve disputes without court proceedings. It involves signing a participation agreement, four-way meetings with both clients and solicitors, and the use of neutral experts (such as financial or child specialists) by agreement to reach a negotiated settlement, culminating in a binding separation or financial agreement and consent orders for the court to approve.

Deborah Bailey
Partner and Head of Family Law
“Deborah was a pleasure to deal with honest and upfront in regards to my divorce and the pitfalls I had to face, her professionalism shone through from the moment I met her (previous experience had). I highly recommend Gowen and Stevens especially Deborah Bailey whom I can only praise. I give a special mention to the other voice behind the phone Caroline whom was always helpful, pleasant with nothing being a problem I would say you spoke with a smile. Thankyou both for your help.”
