We took advice to go to Ashtons to have our Wills written because we each wanted our share of our House to be placed in Trust for our children, but with a Life Interest in the house for the survivor. This provided some safeguard for each of our halves of the house against future unforeseen events (to pass to our children) while at the same time guaranteeing availability of the whole house (or any replacement) as a rent-free domicile for our survivor. I trusted Ashtons to have the Legal Knowledge to ensure this was done and to provide all relevant legal advice (including Inheritance advice) and details of options.
