This area covers buying property off plan and arranging or securing equity release, including mortgages backed by lifetime mortgages. A solicitor works on contracts for off‑plan purchases, checks developer terms, confirms title due diligence, investigates planning or building approvals, reviews deposits and long-stop dates, and coordinates with lenders, lenders' solicitors and the land registry. They also advise on risks of buying before completion and on safeguards in equity release schemes before advising on next steps if problems arise.

“Excellent service. I cannot praise Arran enough for getting us across that finish line. They say house buying is one of the most stressful things to do in life and it certainly was in our situation. Arran was always calm, direct and clear in what was happening. He was very thorough and exactly what we needed to rely on. We exchanged on the 17/12 and completed on the 19/12, just days before Christmas, an intense time, but Arran and Lorraine got the job done and we would like to thank them and their team for all their hard work. ”
