The Decent Homes Standard covers the minimum standard of housing conditions for many social and private sector tenancies in England, focusing on safety, repair, thermal comfort and habitability. A solicitor practising in this area helps tenants and former tenants challenge poor conditions, pursue repairs, and resolve disputes with landlords or local authorities. They may draft and serve notices, gather evidence of disrepair, negotiate with housing providers, and, where necessary, apply to the courts or tribunals to enforce improvements or compensation. The work is shaped by housing regulations, local authority interventions, and potential entitlement to housing assistance or remedies under housing and tenancy law.

Neelam Trikha

Tagged solicitor Neelam Trikha

Neelam Trikha managed a significant number of (often intractable) lease extensions on behalf of our freehold company over an extended period of time.  I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable, thorough and persistent but most importantly personable which made Neelam a real pleasure to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Amphlett Lissimore and Neelam will certainly be the first person I contact for all of my future lease extension needs.

Andrew Campbell

Tagged solicitor Andrew Campbell

I arranged to speak to Andrew Campbell to discuss an on-going domestic issue linked to a property. Throughout the meeting Andrew was attentive, made sure he fully understood the situation, and my concerns, while providing a detailed breakdown of options available to me. At no time did I feel pushed into a course of action. Overall the service I recieved was excellent.
