We needed to register drainage rights for our new sewage treatment plant into the neighbouring farmer’s field on our respective property deeds. Rizzwana was amazing at keeping us informed every step of the way, and at responding immediately to any queries we had. The solicitor acting for the farmer was unresponsive for long periods of time in the process, causing the whole thing to take about 8 months in the end. This made us realise how lucky we were to have Rizzwana acting for us, AND to appreciate her patience and tenacity in keeping going in the face of frustrating behaviours by others. Rizzwana was also very human with us, and her personal touch was much appreciated, particularly at times when the process became a bit stressful. She ultimately guided us (and the process) through to a successful conclusion, which had a very significant positive impact on our domestic circumstances. Her technical knowledge in navigating through a slightly complicated arrangement was evident. We can’t recommend Rizzwana highly enough.

I decided to sell a rental property which was registered on one shared title deed. One of the neighbouring properties decided to prevent me from accessing my property to the rear which was essential for taking bins out etc. although the access had always been that way it wasn’t stated on the title deed. This was going to be devastating regarding selling the property. Kerry Kudworth, my solicitor from Crombie Wilkinson, was acting on my behalf and she spotted an entry on my older records and said she would look into it. Kerry went above and beyond to follow up on this point and contacted the land registry on my behalf and sure enough it had been written several years prior that I did have access to the rear via a shared passage way. I was, of course, delighted as I would have lost the sale without Kerry having found just the clarification I needed.

The Adverse Possession application for an area of land adjacent to our garden resulted in a positive outcome. The process had a duration of over two years from our initial contact with Sam Abdoolah in May 2021. The length of time was due in part to a number of changes in personnel and breakdown of a handover of information and poor communication at Forbes. I believe the personnel changes have resulted in extra costs over and above the initial cost estimate. Once Amanda was engaged the matter was then progressed in a timely manner.

During the renovation of our new house, it became apparent that a wall dividing our property from neighbours' properties would need to be taken down and replaced. This led to a dispute with one of our neighbours which caused us much distress. We then contacted Daniel Stern of Slater Heelis for help. He put our minds immediately at rest, was firm and decisive in his actions and understood the situation at once. He did all of this without fuss and at a reasonable price and helped us through a really difficult time. I cannot recommend him or Slater Heelis highly enough.
