The divorce process between my wife and myself started out on relatively amicable terms and we agreed and documented all matters that needed to be resolved between us. The involvement of her new partner and the subsequent appointment of a solicitor significantly changed the dynamic and everything that had been agreed was suddenly revoked. After two years of wrangling I engaged Stowe Family Law out of desperation and the world suddenly got a lot clearer. I got a far better understanding of my position, rights and how various matters could be progressed and resolved. The minute Stowe got involved, the other solicitors quietened down. All outstanding matters were resolved and the divorce completed within 6 months.

The main things I wanted to highlight are: - Rhea sent an email requesting we complete outstanding missing documents. When I called her, she couldn't tell me what was missing and just kept saying she'd have to chat to Chloe. When Chloe called back, she realised that the forms hadn't even been sent. That was pretty frustrating. - My partner called to ask whether our survey being delayed would be an issue and Chloe was unable to help him with any useful advice- It would be really useful if any communications that are sent out about missing documents or payments actually list EXACTLY what is missing. Instead, there are further emails/calls going back and forth asking what's missing and it's really frustrating. - Moving forwards, we seem to have trainee legal executives allocated to both our sale, purchase and declaration of trust. I have to admit, this doesn't fill me with confidence and feels like you're asking trainees to do the work that fully qualified solicitors should be doing. I used Lyons Bowe previously and had a very good experience, our current experience has been disappointing so far.
