Where a person dies leaving a will, solicitors advise executors on gathering the estate, paying debts and legacies, and applying for the grant of probate. They draft and check the estate accounts, liaise with HM Revenue & Customs and the Probate Registry, identify beneficiaries, and handle claims against the estate. They also navigate deadlines, fiduciary duties and, where relevant, disputes, ensuring assets are distributed in accordance with the will and the law.

“I cannot recommend Marjorie Creek and Richard Nelson LLP highly enough. Marjorie supported me through an incredibly difficult and prolonged period, and I will always be deeply grateful that I had her in my corner. Her knowledge, experience and professional judgement were invaluable, but what made such a difference was the genuine compassion, kindness and reassurance she showed throughout. During a situation that was often extremely challenging, knowing that I could turn to Marjorie for clear advice, support and guidance gave me enormous reassurance. She was always approachable, responsive and there when I needed her, acting promptly and professionally while never losing the human touch. I always felt that she genuinely cared about my situation and was committed to achieving the best possible outcome for me. It is difficult to put into words just how much her support meant during that time. Marjorie is an exceptional professional and a genuinely compassionate person, and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone needing knowledgeable, trustworthy and supportive legal representation.”

“The task of becoming an executor whilst dealing with personal Bereavement is one of the most stressful things in life. The appointment of the right person to guide you through it is crucial. Expediency, professionalism and confidence in that person's ability that is everything. When mixed with a good helping of kindness and compassion it's a winning formula. Never having used Paul Robinson before it was a leap of faith but following completion of my late father's estate I have no hesitation in recommending Elizabeth Hall at Paul Robinson who made my personal journey so very much easier. I can't praise her highly enough. ”
