An invalid will covers situations where a will does not meet the legal requirements or the testator’s capacity, so it cannot be treated as the final expression of their wishes. A solicitor in this area advises on challenges to validity, defends or promotes probate applications, gathers medical or witness evidence, and may seek court declarations or orders to resolve the will’s status. The work often involves consideration of undue influence, lack of Testamentary capacity, or formal defects in execution.
