Probate Instructions covers arranging and guiding the process of applying for a grant of probate after a death, and administering the estate in England. A solicitor in this area drafts or reviews the probate papers, helps identify the executor(s), collects and values assets, settles Inheritance Tax and other liabilities, contacts banks and beneficiaries, and registers the grant with the Probate Registry. They also provide practical steps for dealing with estate assets, debts and distribution in line with the deceased’s will or the rules of intestacy.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you to Shauna Telford of Amphlett Lissimore for getting me through the daunting world of Probate. Having thought I could start the process myself, I soon realised I was out of my depth and so grateful to you Shauna for picking up the pieces and doing the job properly with so much knowledge, attention to detail and professionalism. I could not have done this without you. It was lovely to meet you Shauna, though my head did spin a bit with all that information, but patience and reassurance from yourself helped me through and we did it! Can’t thank you enough.”
