My wife's Police interview
My wife was recently involved in a road traffic accident. She had been flustered and confused at the scene of the crash and failed to give a specimen of breath and was arrested. Soon after the accident my wife was diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia, which goes along way to explain her state of mind at the time of the incident. She was subsequently called for a Police interview and, as we had asked for a solicitor to be present, Mr Sean Logan from O'Keeffe Law attended to represent her. From the off, Mr Logan put forward a firm argument that my wife was not fit to interview, which was eventually accepted by the officer at the station. Mr Logan then instructed for it to be written into the police notes that a compassionate view needed to be taken by the police due to my wife's condition. Months went by without any update from the Police leaving my wife and I in a state of limbo (a very stressful time indeed). However, having emailed O'Keeffe Law they immediately contacted the police and obtained confirmation of the decision of no further action. Our relief at the closure of this matter is palpable and I cannot thank Mr Sean Logan and O'Keeffe Law enough for bringing this sad affair to an end...and as this was all covered by legal aid, we didn't have to pay a penny. Simply outstanding work by O'Keeffe Law.
