Stay away

The service I received was nothing short of disgraceful. Conveyancer had booked leave the week I was due to complete contracts on my property and didn’t have the courtesy to let me know. Sale fell through. Service prior to this was bad enough, chasing constantly. Charges certainly didn’t reflect the little work done.
Unprofessional, impersonal and downright shoddy service. I used Acocks Green.

worse than awful

they do not return phone calls, messages, there is no feedback and no point chasing because you are ignored. They are rude and simple do not care. There is no consideration for your circumstances - you can plead even beg them you will be ignored. they are like untrustworthy, unreliable builders practising conveyancing. There is no good word about them in any shape or form. Completely unprofessional in every use of the word. From not providing paperwork right through to sending you an incorrect bill absolutely deplorable

I also say not even worthy of one star!

The service I received was nothing short of absolutely unacceptable.
The solicitor Sohale Sharif took forever to reply.
I was doing all the chasing up.
Emailed Colin Cattell (the MD) and got no satisfaction.
Only consolation was his secretary Karen did her best to help but was not
able due to information she needed from Sohale.
Found new solicitors that are 100% better and much cheaper as well.
Never again will I go to Hadgkiss Hughes & Beale or recommend them.

Total lack of urgency

The house sale of my late mother, who entrusted HHB with her deeds from 1953, has failed. The purchaser has withdrawn due to delays in completion.
We did not engage HHB for grant of probate, as the estate was trivial, two bank accounts and a house. They held the will, and therefore submitted the completed document which we completed, having been requested by another executor not to release the will to us (we had copies).
HHB were then asked on 21st July to transfer the house deeds to the solicitors handling the sale. After being chased by ourselves and the new solicitors, we have been told we can collect the deeds tomorrow 15th September, 8 weeks later. This is just not acceptable.

Not even worthy of one star!

Our company have been using these solicitors and they have proved themselves to be very poor in terms of response time or any action. They take months to respond to the simplest of things even when we've stressed urgency. Consistently being let down by this firm of solicitors has cost us time and effort and we are left to look incompetent to our own customers. Even when we've taken the advice offered we were then told by another solicitor that it was incorrect. Once when we complained one of the solicitors simply agreed that they were poor but then continued in the same vein. Whoever answers the phone doesn't always even answer with the business name. Just very unprofessional and not a pleasure to deal with. Would not recommend these solicitors at all.
