We are incredibly grateful to Raashid Hussain, Senior Solicitor at Vestra Lawyers, and his team for all their help with our spouse visa application. Our immigration journey was far from straightforward. We are an LGBT couple in a genuine long-term relationship, but because we were in a long-distance relationship and had not been able to cohabit, we previously experienced three refusals under the unmarried partner route. On top of this, my immigration history later became more complicated because I had previously entered the UK as a visitor and overstayed for almost a year. Before taking our case forward, Raashid carefully examined all of our previous refusal letters and immigration history.
