I engaged this company in July 2024 to purchase a shared ownership flat.
I was informed by the blurb on their website that the process would take on average 20 weeks.
Having completed the initial forms to get the ball rolling I was told I would hear from them by email with a link to pay a deposit and search fees. After a couple of weeks I had heard nothing so I contacted them which prompted then to send the email. I thought things were then moving but after a few more weeks a had heard nothing so I again contacted them and asked how things were progressing, I was basically told that they weren't progressing as they had no details of the vendors solicitors. I informed them that all the details they needed were on the memorandum of sale they were sent by the vendor, a copy of which I had received, they initially denied any knowledge of the MOS but later admitted it had been sent but it had gone to the wrong person, that person seemed to have sat on the document and not passed it on. I provided them with a copy I had. I thought things would now progress.
I waited until nearly Christmas 24 and again contacted them still no progress had been made they said they were waiting for a response from the vendor solicitors. I was given a list of the queries they wanted answering.
A few months later I again contacted them they said the same regarding the unanswered queries, it appeared that they had not followed up on the queries during the intervening months rather than pursuing the vendor for answers. I heard nothing from them until a few months later when I got an email from them saying the person who was dealing with my case had left the company. From then on things started to move and within a couple of months the purchase was completed. It was by now July 2025 a full twelve months since I initiated the process.
My case might be a one off, I don't know, but I certainly would not recommend using this company due to my experience.
I got no proper apology or any mention of a reduction in the final bill in fact they charged me more than the amount initially quoted for what was a substandard service, I didn't argue as I was relieved to get the matter finally resolved.
