After University, I completed my traineeship in Peterhead concentrating on Property and Private Client. At the end of my two years, I returned to work in Aberdeen for a couple of smaller Firms before moving to a larger local Firm. I joined Balfour+Manson in March 2017 as an Associate within the Property and Private Client department being promoted to Senior Associate in March 2023.

Great!
Amy McKay was very helpful throughout and explained each step. She always had time when I needed to call or ask any questions. Would recommend for anyone who’s purchasing a property! Sue Newton was also very helpful too.

They get the job done!
After trying numerous solicitors over the years in an attempt to try and resolve a situation regarding my home and ex-partner I chose Balfour + Manson. Lynne Mulchay, Family Law, took the helm and got the job done. She supported and assured me that she would get a resolution for me and she did. I cannot thank her enough for all the work she did, frustrating as it was... but we got there in the end. The peace of mind I now have is immeasurable.
Balfour + Manson also handled the conveyancing and again were friendly, supportive and professional.

Excellent service
Amy Mckay must be commended for excellent customer service.
She was attentive, honest and quick in her responses. From watching and speaking to other people with experiences in house purchases, ours was by far the best, no difficulty getting updates, or getting hold of her, we were always in the loop. Everything was explained carefully and in simple terms to ensure we felt in control at all times. She also did our wills and power of attorney.
Cannot fault. Thanks so much for making a extremely painful process, significantly less painful than it had the potential to be!

Fantastic service
This was our first time purchasing a property in Scotland and was recommended Amy McKay at Balfour + Manson. The service was excellent from start to finish, everything was explained in simple terms and communication was always very quick. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this firm again.
